Personalized, expert feedback on your jazz piano playing — delivered as a custom video response, without needing to schedule a live session.

This is a focused analysis service: you bring a specific question or passage, and receive practical, professional guidance you can apply directly to your playing.

It also comes with a few practical advantages over a live Zoom lesson. Your recording captures the full richness of the piano's sound instead of being compressed through video-call audio — you'll hear a clearer, truer tone straight from the keyboard, and on my end, a phone recording actually comes through with better audio quality than Zoom, so no special equipment is needed to get a clear picture of your playing. You can also rewatch your feedback video as many times as you like, work through it at your own pace, and revisit it whenever a concept needs a second look — no scheduling or time zones required.

How It Works

Step 1 — Record Film yourself playing (a phone camera is fine). Keep the keyboard, your hands, and the pedal visible. A submission of up to 10 minutes is ideal — shorter is welcome too.

Step 2 — Submit Upload your video to YouTube as Unlisted (not Private — I need to be able to view it via link). Purchase your session, then complete the short submission form with:

Your video link
Your questions (see What You Can Ask above) — the more detail you give about what you'd like feedback on, the more precise and useful your feedback video will be
A PDF of the repertoire or practice material you're working on, if relevant

Step 3 — Receive Your Feedback Within 2–3 business days, you'll receive a personalized feedback video (up to 15 minutes) by email — I'll walk through your playing at the piano, demonstrate voicings or corrections, and give you a clear, practical answer to your question.

A few quick tips before you film: set up to the side of the piano in good light, keep the keyboard and your hands clearly visible, and upload to YouTube as Unlisted.

Yes. Whenever it's helpful, I'll demonstrate voicings, reharmonization ideas, harmonic concepts, or alternative approaches directly at the piano. My keyboard is connected via MIDI, so you'll often see a top-down view of the keys lighting up as I play, along with the corresponding score on screen — making it easier to follow along than in most in-person lessons. When it's useful, I can also demonstrate on an upright piano.
